The Bridge is pleased to introduce Sebastian Mesa as our “Interpreter of the Month”, June 2005.

Sebastian Mesa


Along with legal, community and medical interpreting, Sebastian performs Spanish voiceover work and acts as a junior translator with The Bridge. Sebastian earned a BA in English from Cornell University in 2002 and has been an approved Legal/Court interpreter through the MN Court Interpreter Program since 2002.


Sebastian spent 4 summers as an ESL teacher in Colombia, 1 year as an English ESL tutor in Vermont and completed a stint as Assistant Program Director at the Center for International Education, Saint John’s University. He is also a published author.

Sebastian grew up in a bicultural, bilingual home. His father is a native of Colombia, and Sebastian enjoys visiting him as often as time allows. Sebastian is a bonafide humorist and keeps the office staff in stitches with his jokes and impressions. He is extremely pleasant to work with and enjoys writing and traveling in his spare time.
